Chestnut Mtn Trail (No. 458) Closure from January 2nd through January 13th 2012

The Chestnut Mountain Trail (No. 458) will be closed to the public between the dates of January 2^nd through January 13^th 2012. The closure is in place to ensure the safety of the public while a hazardous fuels reduction logging project is being conducted on private lands (USFS special order). This section of trail passes through private land for the first .63 miles of the trail, starting at the trailhead on Trail Creek Road (map). Thanks for respecting the closure during the first couple weeks of the New Year. We look forward to seeing you all back out on trail after the logging is complete; for yet another great year of hiking and climbing on Chestnut Mountain.
