Lulu Herrera

TRAILS PROJECT MANAGER
lulu@gvlt.org

Lulu joined GVLT in May 2022. She grew up in Colorado and jumped across the states to attend college in Long Island—an eye-opening experience. She was first hooked on conservation and trail work when she applied for a service term as a New Hampshire Conservation Intern focusing on building trails with high school-aged students. With a strong desire to head back West, she joined the Montana Conservation Corps based out of Bozeman in 2010. From there, Lulu caught the trail bug and continued seasonal work on trails as a wilderness ranger and on a cabin crew for Yellowstone and Teton National Parks, as well as for the Forest Service in Bozeman and Livingston. Prior to accepting the position at GVLT, she worked at the Human Resource Development Council as a Youth Case Manager, advocating for and supporting young people in their transition into adulthood. Lulu spends her free time with her husband and their furry sidekick, Romeo, out on the dirt, rock, and water trails.
