Volunteer season is here, and GVLT has lots of ways to get involved all summer long. Join us once, or all season, and help care for the trails and open lands that make our community special.

Bozeman Dog Poop Cleanup
Thursday, May 7 | 4:00–6:00 PM
Along with Gallatin Watershed Council and Outside Kind, we invite you to help protect our watershed by cleaning up dog waste on local trails and parks.
Restoration Thursday
Thursday, May 14 | 1:00-4:00 PM
Join Gallatin Watershed Council and GVLT on a conserved property for a hands-on afternoon of revegetation work, which includes staking willows and/or small planting trees and shrubs.
National Trails Day–Our Biggest Volunteer Event of the Season!
Saturday, May 30 | 9:00 AM–12:00 PM | Gallatin County Regional Park
Pitch in on trail and park improvement projects at Gallatin County Regional Park and then join us for a BBQ, generously hosted by Yellowstone Bank, to celebrate your hard work and kickoff of the 11th Annual Summer Trails Challenge.

Help create a positive trail experience by engaging with users at GVLT’s signature trailheads and sharing trail etiquette tips. Review the Trail Ambassador resources, then sign up for an event.

Triple Tree Watering

Help water new plantings on Triple Tree Trail. Volunteer sign-ups will open next month.

We provide the tools for self-directed cleanups—perfect for individuals, families, or small groups looking for a flexible way to give back. Email us to sign up.
Group Volunteer Events
Companies, organizations, and teams can sign up for an organized trail workday by finding an available spot on our Volunteer Group Calendar and submitting an Interest Form.
