We are led by a volunteer Board of Directors from our amazing community. Their varied expertise and professional backgrounds are valuable in shaping the direction and initiatives of GVLT.

We are excited to welcome John DiCola, Edward Lichty, and Erik Udstuen as our newest board members. Learn more about this talented and dedicated group of individuals below. We are thrilled they are part of our team!

John DiCola

John DiCola is a business leader and board member with 30 years of experience helping early-stage and growth companies scale. After nearly a decade in the advertising and sales industry, John joined a startup company in 2000 named Google. During his seven years at Google, John started the Chicago, Detroit, and Dallas offices: hiring the team and building relationships with the region's largest companies. Since his time at Google, John has used his experience in leadership and board positions at several technology companies. Today, he serves on the boards of technology businesses AeroPay and Savvi.AI. In addition to the Technology space, John served six years on the Big Sky Youth Empowerment (BYEP) board, and nine years as a board member for the Yellow Dog Community and Conservation Foundation. Prior to living in Bozeman, John held an elected board position with the Winnetka Park District. John and his wife Becky moved their family to Bozeman in 2015, where they've raised their four children. They are active trail users, and you may know their large Newfoundland "Chewbacca" if you spend time at Snowfill dog park. John believes GVLT plays a vital role in shaping the quality of life in the Gallatin Valley and is excited to support its mission through board service.

Why I Serve

“It is a privilege to live in a place that has so much space and beauty. GVLT is a great steward for preservation of that space and access to enjoy that beauty. It is an honor to join the board and contribute to the mission.”

Edward Lichty

After falling in love with Montana on their first visit in 2011, it took Edward and his wife, Kelly Corrigan, another 10 years to come to their senses and make Bozeman their home. Edward is a long-time executive in technology and media, helping build TiVo, VUDU, Medium, and Machinify; helping shape industries from television and streaming to publishing; and, most recently, healthcare administration. Edward currently serves as the Chief of Strategy and Partnerships at onX in Bozeman. He enjoys cycling of all kinds, snowboarding, tennis, cooking, backgammon, and serving as the butt of the joke for Kelly and their adult daughters, Georgia and Claire.

Why I Serve

“Land conservation and stewardship are essential to preserving the character of Southwest Montana. GVLT has proven to be thoughtful and creative in protecting our lands and developing open spaces for the benefit of everyone, and I’m honored to be able to help in this effort.”

Erik Udstuen

Erik is an entrepreneur and tech innovator who has focused his career on improving global industrial efficiency and sustainability. As a co-founder and CEO, he has steered multiple tech startups from inception to market leadership, fostering innovation with AI and other leading-edge software technologies.

Having grown up living inside Ohio state parks, Erik developed a special appreciation for the outdoors and wildlife from an early age. Today, Erik and his extended family reside in Bozeman and cherish the world-class outdoor opportunities the Gallatin Valley and beyond offer. He believes that spending time on the trails and in the mountains provides critical balance to the increasing influence of technology in modern life.

Erik hopes to contribute to GVLT's accelerating success and support the team as they grow their impact on our community.

Why I Serve

“It is an honor to serve GVLT and the dedicated team working every day to conserve and protect what we value most here in Montana.”
